Marc was inspired by his Grandfather Delmar Vance, who raced stock cars in the late 60’s and early 70’s. In his first year out of 22 starts he garnered 18 wins. Vance was named Amateur Champion and Rookie of the Year at the Peoria IL Speedway before retiring.

Marc embraced racing with a natural talent at the age of 12 and had

his first feature win in a Quarter Midget at the Broadwell IL

dirt track in the Sr Novice division.
